During the world financial crisis most of the countries try to catch any possible straw in the hope of salvation. Everything that was doubtful and unreal before, today seems to be a miracle cure and last hope. For example in 2008 Russian banks found very funny the idea of Islamic banks in Russia, but today they are seriously intended to reorganize their bank into Islamic in hope to get the financing from Middle East countries. There is no doubt that Islamic Finance system more protected from financial defaults and crisises, because they are not involved in speculative transactions.
